ROLAND H. ACOSTA is an attorney with extensive and varied experience in real estate law,
business law and commercial law. With an emphasis on transactional work, Mr. Acosta has focused his
energies on "closing the deal". A former associate general counsel for SunTrust Bank, Mr. Acosta has
extensive knowledge and numerous contacts in the financial industry. He has assisted clients in obtaining
financing for their projects. Mr. Acosta’s sources include both institutional and private funding. Additionally,
Mr. Acosta provides legal guidance and strategy for individuals and organizations involved in the real estate
industry. He has advanced the interests of realtors, mortgage brokers, commercial lenders, developers,
builders, investors, landlords and entrepreneurs of all stripes. Mr. Acosta has taught real estate law at a
variety of regional colleges. He has been a featured speaker, instructor and panelist at various colleges
and at Orange County sponsored events on a number of topics including the foreclosure process,
foreclosure defense and short sales. His private firm, Roland H. Acosta & Associates, P.A., provides clients
with comprehensive services which include landlord/tenant dispute, code enforcement issues, remedial
title work, formulation of business entities and legal documentation including wills, trusts and other basic
instruments.
LORI MATOFF is the firm’s short sale and loan workout specialist. She has an MBA degree and more
than 20 years banking experience primarily at Bank of America where she was both a Branch Manager
and a Commercial Loan Officer. Lori is also a licensed mortgage broker. She worked independently for
several years before joining the firm as a short sale and loan workout specialist. Lori now devotes all of
her energies assisting realtors getting their deals done by negotiating short sales and assisting
property owners with mortgage modifications. Lori can help property owners avoid foreclosure through
mortgage modification or through a commercial/residential short sale.
DEBRA WINSTON is the Legal Administrator for the firm. She is multi-talented and handles a myriad of
duties. Debra is heavily involved in facilitating short sales. She has superior skills as an experienced
legal secretary. She is an Alumni of Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, Florida. She also has an
extraordinary knowledge of all aspects of the firm's daily functions, having worked for many years with
attorneys, mortgage brokers, lenders, realtors, and other real estate professionals. She is very
resourceful and committed to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

JAMES MOORE is the Director of Real Estate for the firm. He has a bachelor’s degree from the
University of Alabama. He has extensive experience negotiating short sales, coordinating closings,
conducting legal research, and managing accounting operations. He is responsible for overseeing
both the short sale and the closing departments as well as ensuring that the day to day functions of the
office are taken care of. He is also a licensed realtor which allows him to facilitate the short sale
process from listing until closing. He attends law school at night and works full time at the law firm
during the day.

MICHAEL ROSARIO is the Closing Director for the Law Firm. Mike has more than 20 years of customer
service experience. Mike is very knowledgeable, well organized and a strong problem solver. You will
find his calm demeanor a welcomed presence in a sometimes, tense closing setting. Mike has
demonstrated his "get the job done" attitude to a wide scope of employers including law firms, title
companies and financial institutions. Mike is bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English.
MICHAEL RUDOLPH is the firm’s Paralegal and is assigned to all of Roland Acosta’s litigation matters.
He has extensive experience in Homeowner/Community Association litigation in areas ranging from
construction and design defects to toxic dumping cases. Michael has provided trial support in local and
federal courts and in multi-jurisdictional complex litigation cases. He has a background in real estate
as a former property manager of an apartment complex and strip-mall. Michael holds a bachelor’s
degree from Duquesne University and while living in the westernmost territory of the United States he
received his MBA from the University of Guam.
LEIVY ROCHE is the firm's full time Administrative Assistant. Leivy has 15 years experience in a law firm
setting. She holds an A.S. Paralegal and A.A. degree and is finalizing her pursuit for a B.A. degree
in Communication Disorders. Leivy is responsible for the Law Firm’s reception and administrative
duties. She exemplifies the firm's commitment to delivering superior customer service. Leivy is
bilingual; fluent in both Spanish and English.



ROSELIN FIGUEROA is the Short Sale assistant for the firm. She is a graduate of the University of
Central Florida with a B.A. in Political Science. Rosy is responsible for assembling the short sale files,
guiding the clients and realtors through the intake process, coordinating the submission process with
various lenders and providing administrative support to the short sale negotiator. Rosy also assists
with real estate, accounting, litigation, and reception duties. She has experience in a legal setting and
will be attending law school in the near future. Rosy is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English.
